Karoo to present a New Generation Camper in Finland for the first time – Deliveries planned to begin in August 2026

The Finnish innovative camper manufacturer Karoo Oy continues its development toward its goal of starting deliveries of its new generation campers during 2026. The Karoo Adventure Camper combines Scandinavian design, modularity, usability, and lightweight construction —features that have received an excellent reception both domestically and internationally.

Product Development progressing as planned toward production launch

Product development has progressed according to plan toward production readiness. Deliveries are targeted to begin in August 2026, when the first campers will be delivered to customers. The first pre-orders will be confirmed in early summer 2026 as the production process is launched.

Karoo will present the first prototype of the product at the Caravan 2026 fair in Helsinki. Although the product is still in the development phase, customers will, for the first time, be able to see what the product looks like as a whole and form an impression of what they are purchasing. At the fair, visitors can explore the interior functionalities in a separate interior mock-up, where everyone is encouraged to try, for example, the seating comfort of the premium sofa bed offered as a special fair promotion.

Product development is an ongoing process and continues as planned alongside the fair. Based on design and product development work, testing, and customer feedback, we have already been focusing since November on designing the next prototype, which is intended to be as close as possible to the production version. In the next phases, the focus of development will shift increasingly toward manufacturability.

Finnish innovation receives strong international response

The new Karoo Adventure Camper has generated exceptionally broad interest. Pre-sales have exceeded expectations, and Karoo has received more than 700 pre-orders prior to the start of actual serial production. Interest in the Karoo Camper extends widely across Europe and beyond. Karoo has pre-marketed the product in three countries: Finland, Norway, and Germany. In addition, the company has received pre-orders from other countries as well. The distribution of pre-orders across different markets reinforces confidence in the product’s international potential and collaboration opportunities with leading players in the industry. In the initial phase, Karoo will begin product deliveries in three pre-market countries: Germany, Finland, and Norway.

Customer feedback also helps us, in line with our vision, to focus on features that genuinely create value for the travel experience.”

Outlook for the future

“We are living through an exciting phase for the company. When we launched pre-sales in February–March 2024, we made a customer promise that product deliveries would begin during 2026. It is exciting to think that this is the year when Karoo will enter the market. This is what our team—and every individual both at Karoo and among our partners—has been working toward.
